You know, one where you actually eat a variety of healthy foods and a good balance of calories. Sometimes you just need a jumpstart, a cleanse, a boost of confidence on the scale. This does it! I know some people HATE these kinda quick diets but I love them! They work well for me and the weight stays off as long as I eat a balanced post- diet. If you jump back to eating bad sugars and carbs right away your going to gain the weight back quick. Pace yourself. It’s an old diet that has been around for YEARS and revised over and over again. You are likely to find several different versions online. Lately these 7- day diets have become really popular. I first read about it on a blog I stumbled upon and thought I’d give it a try, didn’t really expect much though. Along with eating these specific foods you are allowed to have cabbage soup aka wonder soup aka weight loss soup aka miracle soup aka weight watcher soup (so many names for this soup.) whenever you’d like. This is what drew me to the 7- day cabbage soup diet because I love that I can eat this soup in unlimited quantities. I HATE being hungry and I will not stick to any kind of diet if I’m hungry. Don’t forget you MUST drink 8 glasses of water each day. My results vary if I slack on water, but 7- 1. I usually lose. I’ve always used chicken broth or vegetable broth with seasoned canned tomatoes and it has never hindered my weight loss that I know of. These changes have never affected my results. For lunch I do the cabbage soup and a salad sprinkled with salt, pepper and olive oil. This is actually pretty good. For dinner I do riced cauliflower topped with a stir fry of zucchini, roasted carrots, and bell peppers with light soy sauce (cheating). I snack on baked spinach chips. Today was ok. Day 3– Today you eat fruits AND veggies (except bananas, corn and other starchy veggies) You also don’t get a potato today, sucks! I just do a repeat of day one and two for my foods. Day 4- Today you eat only bananas and milk/yogurt. This is the DUMBEST day by far. You can only have bananas and milk or unsweetened yogurt. Boooooo, but let’s make the best of it! For breakfast I do a banana smoothie made with bananas, almond milk and greek yogurt. For lunch I eat cabbage soup. For dinner I do another large banana smoothie and more cabbage soup. I make banana ice cream, by freezing banana slices and then blending them. I also eat some dried banana chips. It’s not that difficult of a day, very boring and if you hate bananas I feel sorry for you babes. Day 5- Today eat only tomatoes (6- 8) and protein like fish, turkey and chicken. I had no problems with this day since I love meat and was happy to get it! I made turkey sausage patties for breakfast topped with tomatoes. For dinner I had more wonder soup, but I added turkey breakfast sausage to it and more tomatoes. I got tired of the soup on this day. Ugh!! Day 6- Today it’s protein and veggies- Unlike yesterday you can have other veggies besides tomatoes. I had turkey sausage and roasted veggies for breakfast. For lunch I had a stir- fry with chicken and veggies (so good) I had a spaghetti squash with tomato sauce and ground turkey for dinner. Spaghetti squash is off limits (starchy) but I had to have it! I hated this day because I wanted more meat, but I was glad it was the last day. The scale says I’m 7 pounds lighter this morning so that was great to see. I’m hungry today though. For breakfast I make a huge fruit and veggie smoothie using spinach, apples, oranges, grapes and water. It was so good and sweet! Kept me full until lunch! For lunch I do a large salad, cabbage soup, and watermelon slushie. For dinner I do another riced cauliflower stir fry with roasted veggies. I snack on baked cinnamon apples and cantaloupe. Day 8– 1. 0lbs down this morning and I can see it!! Tummy is nice and flat and my face looks much slimmer. He’s not happy that my booty looks smaller though (neither am I). Even my fingers are slimmer and my wedding ring fits different. No sugary foods or bad carbs. I continue with a diet full of fruits, veggies and lean meats. Well let’s see, it puts you in a bad mood (for quite some time), it damages relationships and in NO way does it accomplish anything positive. Destructive Traits of a Bad Attitude. Developing an attitude instantly puts you in a bad mood. And NO one wants to be in the same room with a Debbie Downer. To those watching, it transforms you into an immature teenager. This will serve as a guide in lining up our view. It’s not absolutely necessary, but it helps. This next step involves saving the view from Earth. Figure out the resolution of your screen, and divide that by the total resolution of the desired image, to determine how many separate shots you need to take, and then merge them together. Having a higher resolution screen, and using multiple monitors if you have them, can reduce the overall number of shots needed to make up the final image (The Google Earth window can be pulled across multiple screens). Example: My screen resolution is 1. This means we have to divide the area to be capture by at least 3. For simplicity sake, we’ll divide it by 4. In the image below, I drew 3 vertical lines to divide up the area by quarters. Now zoom in until the top of the left column fills the screen, as you can see below. If you don’t have a mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out, you may have to re- enable the navigation to get to the zoom controls. Before we start saving the images, go into the tools menu, then options. Go to the terrain section under 3. D view, and change the elevation exaggeration to . This is important because when moving the view around, the image edges will change perspective because of the 3. D terrain, and they won’t line up easily with each other. After closing the option box, open the side panel back up, turn of the guidelines, close the panel, and then save an image of the current view (file > save > save image). You now need to move the view over to the right to capture the next column. Make sure there is some overlap when you move the view around or else there will be no reference to line up the images. In the image below, you can see I’ve moved the view over to the next column, while still keeping the left guideline in view, so that there is some overlap between the two areas. If you look to the right side of the image, you’ll notice that the next guideline is not in view (remember that I eye- balled them). When moving the view to the capture the next area, just make sure you remember where the last captured image ended, so that you can include some overlap between the two. You can also do this process without making any guidelines, but pay attention to how you move from one area to the next, so you don’t end up with any gaps. An easy trick to follow is by placing your mouse cursor in the top- right hand corner of the view, then clicking and dragging until the mouse is in the top- left hand corner of the view. This will minimize vertical movement, while allowing a small amount of overlap between each area. After that row has been exported as images (it actually took me 5 shots to get the whole width), move down to the next row, and repeat. Keep in mind that the bottom of each image will have to be cropped to get rid of the Google Earth logo, so leave some extra overlap space between rows. The below image shows all of the Google Earth image saves in windows explorer. Notice that by naming them in a numerical fashion, and sizing the window correctly, you can see how all the images line up with each other. Before we merge the images, the Google Earth logo has to be cropped off each one. If you have Photoshop, the easiest way to do this is by using an action (Tutorial Video from Youtube). If not, any image editor can be used to crop the images to get rid of the logo. Don’t forget to crop a few pixels off the top of each image, since there’s a small drop shadow at the top that is unwanted. This step is where we merge the photos together, manually. I’ve tried different programs to do this automatically, but they never get it quite right, often skewing or warping some images, so the final merged image is distorted. Create a new document with a resolution of all of the images added together. I’m going to make the canvas 1. Now drag in the images one by one and line them up with their neighbors. Small adjustments of a few pixels up/down or left/right are necessary to match the edges of the photos exactly. The image below shows all 2.
